The mission of the Greater Vail Area of Commerce is: “to represent and support business and promote the economic growth and enrichment of the greater Vail community.”
It is the position of the current Board of Directors of the Chamber that the incorporation of the town of Vail will better serve its residents than remaining an unincorporated part of Pima County and/or a potential target of annexation by the City of Tucson. It also feels that, in addition to bringing over $3,000,000 in state taxes back to our community, incorporation will serve as a positive attraction to the area, boosting local services, and is confident that Vail’s residents will choose local governance and control for its future.
For the above outlined reasons and more, the Board feels that incorporation of Vail is in perfect alignment with the mission statement of the Chamber and wholeheartedly adds its support to the incorporation effort.
